Rebecca researched Wes Anderson's work and personal style. In his filmography, Anderson tackles recurrent themes - family, death, loss, depression, suicide, and the illusion of control - through dramedy. Using the model of film analysis proposed by Jose Luis Sanchez Noriega, Rebecca examined Anderson's themes and style patterns in three chronological consecutive films: "The Darjeeling Limited", "The Royal Tenenbaums", and "The Life Aquatic of Steve Zissou". Rebecca then proceeded to create and direct the short play "El funeral Torrivilla" using selected elements from Anderson's themes and style that could translate from the cinema milieu to theatre.
